Aviation Security refers to a combination of measures and human resources intended to safeguard civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference. Aviation security comprehensively emphasize on protection of air navigation and airport facilities, aircrafts, passengers, crew, members of public, cabin and hold baggage, cargo, mail, and catering supplies from acts of sabotage, hijacking or terrorism. In Bhutan, the Bhutan Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) enforces aviation security regulations to comply with international standards, ensuring the safety and integrity of the nation’s air transport system. These measures help maintain public confidence in aviation security.
